Traffic Control Technician & Traffic Control Flagger
Wednesday, March 31 ~ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This 8 hour course provides the student with the practical knowledge needed to properly install and maintain a California temporary work zone traffic control system. The flagger training comports with all the elements contained in California's regulations for traffic control flagging. Each student will be instructed to meet or exceed the minimum traffic control system requirements, to make system adjustments, when necessary and to provide for the safe passage of vehicles through the work zone.
This course is in accordance with the current California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) (Referred to in the California Vehicle Code, Section 21400).
INSTRUCTOR: Ray Ruggles has over 40 years of experience in all phases of city, county, and state roadway/freeway work zone construction activities.

10 Hour OSHA Construction Training
April 21 - 22 ~ 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm each day
WHO SHOULD TAKE THE CLASS: Field personnel, safety personnel, supervisors or anyone having responsibility for OSHA compliance.
PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM: This course introduces OSHA policies, procedures, and standards as well as construction safety and health principles. The class emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention. Required topics include an Introduction to OSHA, Electrical Standards, and Fall Protection. Other topics include Trenching and Excavation, Confined Space and Personal Protective Equipment.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Robert Harrell has provided quality safety consulting and training for the construction industry since 1978. He is a NUCA certified Master instructor and currently teaches at the OSHA Training Institute at UCSD.
